EverAfter Daily Care

Daily Care is the backbone of the EverAfter program, and is available to families on an as-needed basis. You do not have to commit to a certain number of days per month, and you are only charged for the days you use!

Highlights include:

  • Children are divided into grade level groups of Kindergarten-1st, 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th, and middle school.

  • Evergreen students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade get picked up from their classrooms by EverAfter staff at their class dismissal time while older students show themselves to the gym.

  • Students joining us from Oakley, Bell, or Haw Creek are picked up at their school.

  • All students are checked in upon arrival and given an opportunity to have a snack. The program provides a small snack (~120 calories or so), and students are welcome to bring their own. They then transition outside with their age group's instructors, or into the gym or a classroom during poor weather.

  • Outside time provides kids with the option of structured or unstructured play.

  • Later in the afternoon on most days, all kids are provided a quieter inside space during which homework time, reading time, and other quiet activities are provided. The K-1 and 2-3 groups specifically spend their inside time doing lots of art!

  • Students participating in clubs leave their group for the hour or so of club time and then rejoin the group.

  • Most days finish with less-structured choice time in the gym or outside.

  • Parents must come in to the gym to sign-out, making sure to bring their pickup placard with them!

Extended Day Care is provided on Evergreen noon dismissal days, as well as most non-holiday, non-school days. For students joining us from other schools, we can provide these extended days only when your child's school is on a similar schedule to Evergreen. For a complete schedule of Extended Day Care days offered in 2023-2024, see below.

For more information and pricing, please see the Registration and FAQ pages.

Extended Day Care

EverAfter offers an extension of our normal daily care on non-holiday no-school days. We require advance sign-ups for these days. This helps us adequately plan for staffing and special activities. Some special activities may be organized and communicated through regular EverAfter Newsletters. The sign up form will also only be sent, via the EverAfter Newsletter, to parents whose children are already registered.

Cost

All day care: $55 - Advanced Signup Required.

Note: Due to past difficulties, if your child attends EverAfter on an Extended Care day, and you did not sign them up in advance, a $10 surcharge may be added to the cost of the day's attendance (if we even have room!). If your child does not attend on a day they were signed up for, you may still be charged (we'll give you plenty of reminders!). It is the parent's responsibility to keep up with their Extended Day Care sign-up form, the edit link for which can be found in the confirmation email received after submission. If your child turns up sick on a day they were signed up, please notify us the morning of so that we don't charge you.

Procedure

For all day care days, parents must come into the gym to sign in and speak with an EverAfter staff member when dropping off. All Day Care is open from 8:00 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Remaining EverAfter Extended Day dates for 2024-2025:

  • March 3rd-7th (March break week)

  • Friday, April 11th (Conference day)

EverAfter is NOT open on Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Weds-Fri, Winter Break, MLK day, Spring Break, or Memorial Day.

A note for participants that come from Oakley, Bell or Haw Creek Elementaries:

EverAfter will still offer transportation and regular daily fees for the above dates that are also regular school days for BCS.

On days we do not offer transportation, students are welcome to be dropped off here on Mondays after 2:00 and Tuesday-Fridays either at 2:30, or after 3:30 (or any time in between, but you'd have to park at Charlie Bullman parking lot and walk up to campus via our trails).
