Weekly note:

Hi parents,

With yesterday's bonus family day fresh on everyone's minds, you'll be delighted to know that Evergreen's Summer Camp is going to start enrollment tomorrow! Unless we have another snow day tomorrow, then it might not be until Monday. Either way, if you plan on sending your kids this summer, get your registration in soon before we fill up!

On another note, many of you will this morning have received a Statement of Account from MySchoolBucks. These went out to anyone with a past due balance. As a reminder, EverAfter fees post weekly, typically on Monday mornings, for days attended the previous week. They are then due within a week of posting. Your MSB account will give you automatic reminders when fees are approaching or past due, and you can also set up text alerts if you want them. Also, see last week's newsletter for information on setting up automatic payments.

Lastly, if your child needs to attend any of our all day care days the week of March 3-7, and you're not signed up yet, please get that done by Monday, as we are going to make staffing plans based on signups at that time. After that, we might not be able to take in more kids.

Thanks!

- James

FAQ of the Week

What is your policy on showing movies, videos, and screen time use?

  • In Evergreen's classrooms, per the Evergreen Community Handbook, movies or shows rated PG or higher must only be shown with parental permission. In EverAfter, we mostly stick with that standard. And since we rarely, if ever, have the ability to ask, we mostly stick to G-rated movies and TV-Y rated shows. When in doubt, we consult Common Sense Media

  • We do not allow children to watch videos on their own devices, regardless of rating--they aren't supposed to have their own devices out anyway!
